With spring finally here, I want a new motorcycle. Before I can buy my new bike, however, I need to sell the bike I have now.

I have a blue 1981 Harley Davidson XLH Sportster that I am looking to unload.

The bike features a 1000cc V-Twin with a S&S Carb. Lots of extra chrome has been installed over the years and I have more that will be included. Currently mounted to the bike is a beautiful set of chrome spokes, but, I am also including the origional mags. I have two seats for it as well as two gas tanks. It comes with two sets of pipes, one with mufflers and the other set is straight.

The belonged to my dad. The last thing he did before he laid down in his bed last summer and died was take this bike for one last ride. Why am I selling it? I am a firm believer that if you own a machine, you should use it. This particular bike simply is not my style. Dad had it for 13 years and rode it every summer.

Two weeks ago, the bike got a tune up to get it ready for this season. Tonight, it received a new set of rear brake pads and caliper seals. After a quick wash and polish, this bike will be ready for the open road.

The transmission was just rebuilt 2 years ago and it hasn't even had 100 miles put on it since then.

I am asking for $4400 OBO with local pick up.

To the best of my knowledge, this bike has never been dropped.
