I am wanting a pair of front leaf spring mounts for the rear leaf springs on a half ton 2 or 4wd OBS. I don't want the rear mounts or the shackles, I've got those, I just need the front mounts where the front of the spring would normally be bolted solid. Any of you guys that have gone to 4 link setups have some old mounts laying around?

How rusted are they? Surface rust isn't an issue but deep pitting isn't what I'm after. How about pics just to make sure we are talking about the same thing? Shipping is the deciding factor for me because they are kind of heavy.

They're called hangers, and they should fit nicely in a USPS flat rate large box (or maybe even a medium one), cost you about $16 to ship. Flat rate box FTW! You could put a lead weight in there the size of the box and they have no choice but to send it at the same rate.

pm sent. there is no rust on them im in northern CA we dont have any rust problems around here. i dont know if theyll fit in a flat rate box or not im just going to torch off that part of the frame its a hell of alot easier than grinding off the rivets. ill take like 50 bucks shipped for em. i think thats about what itll cost me alone just for shipping gas to the post office and my torch fuel i use

A flat rate large box is 12x12x5.5, costs $14.50 to ship, a couple bucks more for insurance/confirmation. You can have the post office bring you big bundles of them for free. You can print the labels and pay for them online, so you don't have to scribble up a bunch of address labels, insurance forms, or delivery confirmation forms. After you print the labels you can select an option to have the carrier notified to pick the boxes up from you, so you never have to leave the shop and burn up more time or your fuel.

If you're in the parts biz, you're shooting yourself in the foot to not take advantage of these. Sure, not everything will fit in the flat rate boxes, but you can do the exact same thing with all other kinds of packages, you just need to weigh them first. Scales up to 50 lbs available cheap at any office supply store.

    Just sayin'...

Haven't forgot about this but I found out my neighbor has been withholding info about a parts truck he has out by a creek bank. Providing the hangers aren't rusted and rotten he said I can have them. If they are I will take what you've got.
