1995 K1500 Z71, 5.7l with TBI mods, corvette servo in trans, 3.42 gears, skyjacker add-a-leafs and stock 265's.
I'm planning to do a re-gear to 4.11 and keep the stock tire size because where i live (west of ATL, Ga.) has a fair share of hills.

I know being overweight probably wont be an issue, but just thought i'd pick you guys brains for a little bit of advice or ideas. Thanks!

I plan to be installing my RC 4" lift soon, I've been waiting weeks on these new wheels & tires to come in and they should be here in a week or so. Well when I do the front, what items are good to replace at the same time when I have things disassembled?

Some new things already purchased:

Front
4" RC Spindles
SSBC Big Bite Rotors (6 lug from 2500LD)
Already have new SSBC calipers and pads
Timken inner and outer wheel bearings with Timken red grease and Timken seal
New castle nut, washer, and grease cap
Summit Racing replacement upper and lower ball joints
Energy Suspension Sway Bar Bushings and End Links
Flexible Stainless Steel Brake Lines
Bilstein 4600 Series Shocks

Rear
1.5" RC Blocks
RC AAL
U-bolt reversal kit
14-bolt 9.5" 4wd rear (6-lug)
Motive Gear 4.56 Ring and Pinion
Motive Gear 14-bolt master install kit with Timken bearings
New Drums, Shoes, Cylinders, Backing Plates, and Hardware kit
Flexible Stainless Steel Brake Line
Mag-Hytec cover (5 quart total, with fill, drain, and dipstick)
Mobil 1 75w-90
Moog U-joint and new straps and bolts
Bilstein 5100 Series Shocks

Other
Mag-Hytec Transmission Pan (3.3 extra quarts)
Mobil 1 ATF

By the way, the wheels are 15x8" Pro-Comp Series 88 Rock Crawlers in chrome (PCW88-5883) and the tires are 32x11.50R-15LT Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar tires.

Just wondering if there is anything else that is pretty simple and easy to replace while I am doing all this other work?

Thanks guys!

I have a 1999 Tahoe. Bought it last year at this time. It has an aftermarket alarm system with a remote starter. The alarm was always going off so I adjusted the sensitivity down.

The Tahoe would not start at random times. I had to reset the codes on the alarm to get the vehicle started. Sometimes taking as long a 1/2 hr. When I say would not start I mean it would not even crank. I got frustrated with it and disconnected the alarm from the system...unplugged all of the wires from the control module.

I have a brand new Interstate 5-yr battery too.

I have had no problems with the vehicle since...until last night. I drove the vehicle about 300 miles yesterday. No problems. Many stops and starts on the trip. Got home last night and when I went to move the Tahoe ... Nothing.

Guage says good battery, all accessories work. Just will not crank. Tried to jump start it this morning with no joy. Cables do not look corroded.

Help!

I definitely couldn't fit the puller tool on while the screw piece was in the tool. The piece that goes between the control arms is just in the way. Any advice? Looking at maybe taking the power steering box out of the way to wiggle the pitman arm enough to get the puller in there.

Truck went into default mode so figured I'd just buy a transmission however I purchased a 99 out of suburban and then learned that wasn't going to work so went ahead and swamped the shift solenoids from the 99 to the 93 and nothing. So switch the TCC one over and worked but it acted like it slipped when it was shifting like it didn't want to lock up. Drove it like that for a month and here we are in default mode again. So I purchased a new TCC solenoid and now it will shift first to second fine but right as it goes into third it kicks into default mode. I wanna say second to third solenoid but sick and tired of dropping the pan. I've done it about ten times in the past month so I'd really like to double check before I drop the pan and throw more money at it lol.
