I know it's been posted before but not recently. I'm trying to remove the oil pan. I have it all lose but can't clear the front differential. I've removed the 4 bolts and lowered the differential but still not enough clearance. Any ideas?

gotta unbolt motor mounts and pick up engine about 4 inches and should clear front diff... if you have a cherry picker that is.

make sure you unbolt the tranny on your cross member too and then the engine and tranny will all lift up if you have a picker.

No cherry picker. Can I use a floor jack? If so, where would I place it? I suppose I should put the diff back before I lift the motor?

If you have an equipment rental place nearby you might be able to rent one.

Ok, thanks! Will I need the diff lowered or should I reassemble?
