Not sure about the two coax set up...but a mid bass as one and mid as the other should sound good.
is there a mid-bass driver that could be added with the coax?

why not just get a 3-way component set?
i am looking at getting the RF FNQ Component set and also wondering about dual woofers in the door. How is it done without looking like it is cobbed in. Is it a seperate box added on to the door? Also, what does anyone think about that component set, worth the price?, sound good at high volume?
-thx-
Im interested in this as well. Except my truck doesn't have the places to put speakers in the door. I will have to take the storage pocket off and put some in, or get new door panel.
I would like to see more on this topic...
I did this, the tweeters are in the A-Pillars.

Cut holes in the stock speaker grill, added wood supports to angle the speaker rings that came with the aftermarket speakers. Then just covered them with fiberglass, sanded and painted. Check out my gallery for more pictures of the install.

ahh, so you used the metal grille as a framework/base for the fiberglass and built it up from there. That would certainly save alot of time as opposed to making up a complety scratch-built framework like I did. Why the hell didnt I think of thatOriginally posted by TightAssTahoe

I have dual components setups in my doors. The top is a 5 1/4 setup, and the bottom is a 6.5 setup...![]()

I figured that the grills would be a relatively easy part to find, so I just decided to cut the stock ones. It made the job a lot easier. Thanks for the complements.
