I have been looking to upgrade form my 99 Silverado's crappy stock cd player to a Nakamichi CD400. I could only find a few reviews online and was hoping someone here has one. Looks like they can be had for around $300, which isn't too bad. I am not a rap thumper as I prefer r&r, mostly 80's type metal. Is the sq really that good from a NAK? I like the simpler type units with a rotary dial and not 20 tiny buttons that are hard to use when motoring.

agreed...nakamichi is among the best you can get

nak is a sweet h/u. Denford (Denon & Rockford) make a pretty sweet one also. Sound Domain was selling them for around $300. It is a straight sq h/u with no internal amps.

I have upgraded the front speakers and it made a HUGE difference. Where is the best place to order a CD400? Looking for a place that is reliable will ship it fast and not have to wait a month like alot of online retailers.
