To mount the box..remove the subs and screw/bolt the box down to the floor.
Ad for the ports....I think it need the vinyl taken into the box or something along that line.
Otherwise, the box looks well built. The sides...I have no clue...

i was gonna just use grey carpet to cover the sides and hide the vinyl overlap. any better ideas for finishing the sides? any other ideas to keep it in place besides the tiedowns? it was sliding all over the place without them.
and how should i finish it around the ports so it doesn't look so ghetto?

i thought about bolting it in but dont really want to.![]()
try making a strap and bolting it to your seat belt bolts to make it stay in place
i wouldve done like he said and vinyled the port too...or at least spray paint it with a gloss black

WERD UP G-NUTZ...since you know how to weld, either get some flatbar or angle iron and see if you could make a few brackets that fasten to the existing bolts (like your seat belts or jack and accessories).Originally Posted by Exalted512
BTW homeslice...make sure to post up some more pics of that box and its progress.

For finishing the ports what about getting some aluminum angle, like .5"x.5",frame it in and paint it black. I know that it will kill the radius on the exit of the port but it would look pretty good.

local fabric store, not a chain or online.
Hanc0ck Fabrics here in Tucson has some. Pretty close color match as well. Not sure if there is a Hanc0ck in College Station. (or there might be a "hand-c0ck" when you go to sleep Cody LOL)

to build on this idea, use what they call "corner guard" - its used to protect the corners of walls. Its clear and has a double stick tape applied to the backside. Its "L" shaped and is about 3/4" wide comes in 4ft lengths. Miter the corners and stick it down, after painting it of course.Originally Posted by slaterbj
Its what I used to dress the edges of my amp rack under the rear seat - actually it hides the staples that secure the fabric to the frame of the amp rack.
Take it to San Luis and have them upholster it. I had my rear Jeep seat done in Mexico and for the $30 they did the entire thing and it was bad-ass. They should be able to help you out. Just take out the subs and chit mane. Have them "fold and tuck" it...or some Diamond Tweed!

As far as the sides go....some swirled aluminum or some diamond plate cut to the size of the box and then screwed on.
for now
