I was wondering which subs will sound better and hit harder in a extra cab silverado? I'm deciding between 2 jl audio 12" w3v2's or 2 10" w6v2's? I would run both of them off a jl 500/1 amp. Which one will sound better and hit harder. Will the 10w6v2 hit the low notes the 12w3v2 will? Both will be in a sealled box. Any help is a apreciated. Thanks!

w3s need bigger boxes. w6s need more power. a subwoofer in general is going to hit low notes. i really have never figured out what "hitting hard" means but the setup that will sound the best will be the one that the box best matches the drivers installed in it.

Both subs will have a box that meetsJL's specs. I will raise the seat 2 inches if need be. I just want to know if two 10w6v2's will outperform two 12w3v2's?
