you may not know but what about a red wire coming off of the headunit itsself, not the box? is it accessory? and there are two wires labled "speaker" that come off of the HU as well, and nothing says anything about it....

dont know about that one, sorry. if you're using the pre-outs and amping all your speakers then you dont need to do anything with the ones labeled speaker

According to the manual for the CQ-VD7700U, there's a center channel out put ...

    Are you running any amps?
Check all the connections at the brain, and if you can, disconnect the molex plug at the brain, then check the resistance of each speaker with a DMM.

It sounds like the laser got miss aligned during shipping, only picking up part of the song or movie. thats my guess. its still under warrenty, but you will have to send it out to a service center to get it fixed. I'll check tomorrow for you.

    Re: help quick!

to be honest I haven't really tried anything....is that the cd that cleans the lens? haha I dunno what that is.......also I was thinking I'd trace some wires and check over them again but I mean I think its pointless because everything works fine when the radio is on, but once I hit cd the driver speakers turn off...

    Re: help quick!

also I just checked the rcas on the drivers side and they showed no power coming from them while the passenger sides one did...then I put on the radio and everything worked, so I dunno

I then checked the sub outputs and the sub still worked when each one was plugged in seperatly by itsself. I thought that for the sub, it has the left and right side and my mono block amp mixes both together? If this is so then both sides of my sub outputs work...either way this is weird...

    Re: help quick!

I heard a whine tonight on my way home from a party, like a ground type whine, so I am going to pull the HU back out and check all my wires because I ghetto'd it up a bit....so I will unghetto it all and make it look like something I would normally do(rushed because of rain when I first installed it) and see what happens..maybe God will look down on me and solve all my problems....crosses fingers...
