For some reason the passenger side door panel speakers on my 2000 Silverado quit working. Where do I need to start checking for the problem?

How do you get to the Head Unit?
Check the speaker first and make sure it is not blown. Pull it out and use a battery and see if it moves when you hook up the leads from + and - . All you need is a D,C, or 9 volt battery.![]()
yeah, check out the speaker first. You are more likely to have a blown speaker, or a loose connection at the speaker than at the rear of the head unit.

u should take it into the shop man
take it to the dealership. You might get more of a response if you post this in technical....![]()
doubt that.......umm I thought you would have checked the speaker and the speaker connections first........so go to your truck, drop the door panel and make sure the connector on the speaker is good and tight, if it is take a aa battery with alligator clips and test the speaker to make sure it works, if all is well still, then go to the back of the HU and check the speaker wires there...Originally Posted by KenSilv
