In my '96 I have the regular din. I don't mind the way it looks, but think that the 1.5 din's look 10X better. The 1.5's have a more factory look.

Hey guys, could one of you explain to me what din and double-din is?
Its the "unit of measurement" for the radios. I think one DIN is like 2" high, with double DIN being 4" high.
Okay, so in the Silverado's, a single din might have a little tray under the cd player to put stuff (and take up the extra space)? That's how my friends 4runner is, my Dakota doesn't have enough room for that. Just enough for the cd player and the mounting bracket in mine.
