Best is something you probably can't afford or won't pay for. From your two options I'd definitely pick the Kicker though.

kicker zx1500.1
i think the new ones are 1500.1's the old ones were 1200.1's but either will work!
2003 GMC Sierra ext cab Z-71 5.3

hifonics are best bang for your buck IMO...kicker amps are over priced IMO

Since you made a dumb blanket statement in response I will too. New Hifonics amps are crap.Originally Posted by Z71999

i have a kicker sx1250.1 on my two L7's and i wish i would have went bigger. if you have the money get the kicker 2500.1 but get the older model it will go down to 1 ohm whereas the newer one will only run at two ohms. it all depends on if your subs are dual 2 or 4 ohm though. if they are 2 ohm just get the new one but if they are 4 ohm get the older one and it will be loud as hell. but i dont know if you have the money for that amp. if you need a good hook up on that amp let me know and i can have it shipped to you for around a grand. which is most likely cheaper than anywhere else. lmk.

well if you have the money then go with the kicker 2500.1 it will knock the hell out of those L7's.

I think M5 is right the best amp you prolly cant afford or wont buy. I mean seriously are you going to spend $4,000 to push some $300 subs? Buy an Orion 2500d. case closed
Exactly. There are a ton of options and the Hifonics shouldn't be anywhere near one of them, since the doof in front of me made a blanket statement about them I had to retort. Nothing wrong at all with that Orion though. I didn't offer an amp, but you never even stated what impedance your subs were so how could I??

im pretty sure he established that he will pay w/e he needs to for the subs to sound awesome. and they are no where near $300 subs. They run $400 a piece. but the orion is a good choice of amp.Originally Posted by jew-bagel

well then it will boil down to budget, and what features you want/need. :)
Get 2 dual 4 ohms and wire them into 2 ohms and then run them to a 2005 or older kicker 2500.1 and i swear it will be the spawn of satan. It will be F'in loud!

Id go with a hifonics amp. Kicker and most others over rate their amps. Hifonics makes a lot of the better amps out there.
No boss, no clock, no stress...
actually, if you check, Kicker amps are usually 30% underrated, they will do way more pwoer than published power. Birth sheets of actual powering doesn't lie. And in order to get the 2 ohm load, you actually need two DVC 2s for a final 2 ohm, two DVC 4's for a final 1 ohm.Originally Posted by u12Izzen
