Man, my buddies and I finally got my new system wired up. This thing rocks. I have a Kenwood 500watt 4ch. amp power 2 6.5 pioneer 3-ways and 2 6x4 pioneer 2-ways, and a JBL BP600.1 powering 2 kicker comp vr 12" subs mounted in a nice sealed probox under the back seat, oh and a 1-farad rockford cap. my deck is a pioneer p-6400, which is all cool and has nifty little screen savers. this thing bumps like mad, and completely blows my 2 friends systems outta the water. but it also has really good SQ as well. im thinking i might need a new alternator because even with my new optima red top, my lights dim slightly when im bumping hard. what do yall think? would i just be able to run some thicker alternator wire? also, im thinkin its time for an alarm. i have a **** load invested in this baby, and id die if it were all to get jacked. im gonna carpet my box in factory colors, and put dark panty hose or something behind thw stock speaker grate so you cant see the new speakers so that nothing is sending up a red flag, but the alarm would make me feel a little more comfortable. i dont need something that will feed the dog and wipe my ass all while protecting my truck, but something thats gonna be sensitive enough and have enough features to keep someone out of it. what do yall think?

Well, since i just had my **** stolen recently i too contemplated which alarm.

Oh i paid some good money mind you, but after some research, if you want a kick ass alarm, check out Clifford.

You may be interested in the Intelliguard 8000/9000 or maybe even the Solaris or Avantguard if youve got some big bucks.

The Intelliguard 8000 w/optional dual zone shock sensor cost me $592.00 installed.

    Peace!

an alarm will scare away some pu$$y little kids but if somebody is serious about stealing your stuff...there's not much you can do except save you reciepts and let your insurance company know what you have...and maybe get some extra coverage.

DEI makes good, reliable alarms. if you're not installing it yourself make sure they do a stealthy install. have them hide the brain somewhere other than under the driverside dash, hide all wires and sirens, have them install hoodpins, and a backup battery for your siren(s). 1 or 2 piezo sirens hidden inside will help keep them out of your ride also.
