Yes. Usually, once you get in, you have to put the key in the ignition, otherwise when you touch the brake to shift gears, it will kill it for security purposes. That's so if you accidently remote start and unlock, someone cant drive off in your truck.Originally Posted by tomjhall

I just traded some stuff for a clifford 3.5 RSX its almost the exact same alarm. Great unit. You will be happy.
