Yes, you need a Line out converter though so that you can hook an amp up to the stock system. Theyre about 20-30 bucks depending on what model and brand you pick, and theyre pretty simple to install. If you need to know wiring specifics for your vehicle, www.the12volt.com is a good resource.

    hope that helps

since the prices are so close would it be better to go with the Kicker? i is less watt at 375 compared to the 424 but does have the remote gain control. Which seems better?

well your subs are 300 watts rms each right? If they arent then those amps are way over kill. I was going to tell you to wire them in parralel to drop the load down to 2 ohms.

Im not going to tell you what brand to buy, but be sure to check the air space requirements before chosing a pair. I went shopping for my speakers without thinking about it. I bought the baddest ones I could afford, and ended up having to remove my back seat and building a huge box because they needed so much air to operate properly. Next time im going to buy a box and then worry about the speakers, its alot easier that way.

well either one of those amps will fit your needs, In this case, at a two ohm load, the kicker is over powered. Both amps are nice though, and if you want featurs like a remote base dial, then the kicker is for you.

Re: Stock head unit and Subs???

Djracer, i am looking at buying this amp:
    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...r+ZX750.1.html

to go with these subwoofers that i currently own:
    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...S-L100P5W.html

and i am trying to figure out the best why to wire the amp to the subs. i found this wiring diagram and wanted your advice on it:
    http://www.crutchfield.com/learningc...4%2Dohm%5Fmono

is this the best way to wire up the system? better suggestions? i know the inexperienced guys who hooked my last system in my car up obviously did it wrong or used the wrong wiring package because after about 6 months of jammin out the system died. so i just took it all out of the car and found that the fuse in the power wire going to the battery had fried into the wire. OMG.

i am looking at purchasing this wiring package to go along with the amp and subs:
    http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...icker+CK4.html

i am wanting to do this install myself and i am willing to take it slow so it will be done right the first time.
