2004 Crew Cab Silverado Silver Burch Z71 offroad
ok here we go
this is how i started
this is showing where the box will fit
this is me taking off the side panel
this is me getting the panel off finally
this is the outline of where you need to cut the metal out
this is me cutting out the metal with a cut off whel
this is the piece of metal i cut out
these two pics are of the box installed
this is me putting it back together with a pic of the box behind the panel
almost all back together
cant even tell
I dont have a subwoofer yet or an amp, hence why the box is intalled with no sub.
This was more of a test fit to see if the supplier of the box needed to adjust the size of anything.
I would say its all perfect
Next ill cut the hole in the panel, and mount the jl 10w3v3 and secure the box with a couple of brackets, that wont be for a week or two. Ill update the post then
Let me know if you have any questions

Is there a lot of road noise back there from that metal missing? Maybe you should use some silicone or something to seal the box against the metal and deaden at least around the area or something...
None of the boxes that comes out of our shop will ever be just stapled...Originally Posted by 92CHEYENNEon22s
I dont care how good the cuts are, nothing is going to suck the wood together like screws, period. Staples are better than nails, but I could never justify not using screws for a subwoofer box.
