Just got a new set of Diamond Audio Hex series 6 1/2 inch components for the front doors (97 silverado). The mounting depth on these are 2.3 inches. Will I need spacers for clearance on the window? Or whatever may interfere. I havent taken the panels off to look yet. But I figured alot of people have upgraded speakers and know exactly what needs to be done. Also is there room within the door panels to mount the crossovers? Or do they need to be installed elsewhere?

    Thanks for the info!

I'm sure theyll fit fine, but its always better to make a baffle out of MDF, just make sure you cover it in resin or something to waterproof it. Mounting the crossovers can be done, but I'd mount them in the cab, theyre not made to be waterproof.
