03^ Nav in 01?

what would i have to do to make this work in mt 01 tahoe? i know the two radios are different sizes so im sure i would have to get a new dash bezel but what else? what about the climate controls?

It will not work even if you get it to fit. 03-07 classic trucks use bus system for radios. They are vin specific and have no acc power to the deck. I don`t think there is any way to make it work. Even if so It would be very costly and labor intensive. Better to just mod the dash to use double din + nav or flip out + nav.

dam that sucks, i like the way the factory unit looks, no fancy lights or bs.

is there a thread on somebody modding the dash to run a DD? also do you know of a DD unit that isnt flashy?

Plenty to choose from flashy or not so, depends on you likes vs dislikes. Do a search for obs double din mods. Also just scroll through a few pages and one or more will pop up.

A lot of us have done a DD conversion. There should plenty of how-to's here on it.
