I have had a set of infinity Kappas in my doors for five years, and they still sound great. You can pump the power to them and they play loud and put out a fair amount of bass too.Originally Posted by slicpartna

The Kappas are a great speaker. I have had mine, since 1998. The tweeters, were replaced twice, under warrentee, but that's because I am using a stock deck with the treble turned up and amplified with 75 rms per channel. I replaced the tweeters with MB Quart "r" series titinum dome, last year, and it's a little harsher, but I like it. If you have amps, more than 50 watts per channel, do not buy the Infinity "reference". I bought this set first, and blew both mid's. Then, upgraded to the Kappas.
i like the infinitys for the clarity.Originally Posted by gm4yrs

SOLDFlowmaster Super 44, no cats, TBIchips tune, e-fans, underdrive pulleys, Ultimate TBI.
Alpine CDU-9886, 12" Dayton HO, PG RSD 6.5" comps, RF P500.2, and RF P1000.1. 791xv Alarm
Generically way overpriced, but that isn't always the case. I have an issue with $300 components where you can buy the mid alone for $10
1991 BMW M5 -- Eclipse 8454, Eclipse PA5532, Seas W18E IB, Alpine-Scan D2904/6000, SoundSplinter Rli8 .65 tuned to 30hz
2002 Chevy Silverado -- 880prs, Seas CA18RNX, LPG 25nfa, Mach 5 IXL-12, JL 1000/1 & 450/4
^thats why i got mine on ebay, haha. $120 on ebay versus $250 at crutchfields.
but i have the Kappa components powered by a kenwood amp (ive had good luck with kenwood amps) and they sound excellent. I can pretty much crank my stereo to my tolerance and they never crackle. Im not an audiophile by any means, but they sound great IMO.
BUT, like ///M5 always says, what may sound good to me doesnt necessarily sound good to another.

All I can say, does this look familiar? And yes, I realize that this is about 5 years off but either way not a whole lot special going on.

I will also add though that for $13 it is a hell of a driver.

I like Infinity speakers, not the best like ///M5 said but I think they are pretty decent
Hey! I have those same drivers in my doors right now!(came with the truck when I bought it)Originally Posted by ///M5
So, are those the same driver as the Infinity 6.5" that I have in my doors?
HMMM....if they are, I might think about picking up an extra pair and doing a 3 way setup in my truck.
