Front: MB Quart FSA-216
Peak: 150 W
RMS: 40 W
Rear: MB Quart FKA-116
Peak: 150 W
RMS: 40 W
Sub: Polk Audio db124
RMS: 50-360 W
Amp: Hifonics Zeus ZXi8008
4 ohms: 55 W x 4 ch +200 W x 1 ch
2 ohms: 110 W x 4 ch +300 W x 1 ch
It sounds like a pretty good set up.
Id suggest going and listening to the components if at all possible, first. I personally dont like MBQ, even with the tweeters off-axis, but thats me.
Sry but after selling tons of those polk dual 12in sub enclosures, I cant say that Id go with polk for a subwoofer. Not very strong and cannot handle anywhere near the power some of their power claims. also they distort quickly when turning up the volume. good choice in amp from what i remember about them and i havent really heard alot of bad things bout MBQ, but have never sold them or had to deal with their problems.

Agreed, what's your budged? Maybe we can help you put something together that might sound a little better within your price range.
The other thing that bothers me is the speakers RMS power handling is below what the amp can put out RMS per channel. Your looking for distortion at higher volume.

really? well, I'm not lookin to play the music super loud. do you think the polk will be alright even with not that much RMS power goin to it?Originally Posted by Tuggle45
That's what I was kind of bothered about. will 55W RMS be too much for the door speakers? I heard it is better for their to be more power running to the speakers than underpowered.Originally Posted by Sinkhole

Id say it could sound good for a casual listener without alot of power going to it. Id say about 250w 2ch should be good for it. But how are planning on fitting that 12 in a crew cab?Originally Posted by aznridr

What's your budget? Personly I wouldnt spend cash on comp that does 40RMS. It's better to over power you speakers than under power it. 10 watts isn't going to hurt your comp, just make sure to set the gain properly.
