Sub Box Find for 2002-2006 Tahoes

Hey guys, you may have already seen this but I thought it would be a great deal for someone looking for a box:

Sure beats building one, although $150 is a bit steep for wood and carpet.

I, in fact, DO know the concept of box building. I was an installer for 5 years, and have built more boxes than I know what to do with.

5/8 - 3/4 MDF costs about $20-25 a sheet, and to build THAT box above should tale one sheet. Then carpet, glue, cup terminals, screws, glue, sealant, etc should equate to no more than $30 total.

So, like I said, $150 is steep. Thanks for the jump-to-conclusions-and-make-yourself-look-like-a-moron post though, I got a chuckle out of it.

I have no personal experience with the boxes they build, just thought it might be a good deal.

Yes I have bought a box from them. It was cheaper when I did though.

Honestly, they are not worth the price. The quality of the box was poor. There shipped the box in cardboard with no protect for the box itself. It wasn't completely sealed up.

So far you have shown zero evidence to back your understanding of why a box is priced how it is. Your 5 years as an installer means little. Anybody can be an installer. And what is up with the 25 year old comment? I have been building enclosures for home and mobile use since before i was 12.

I didn't know they were poor quality. From the pictures they looked decent so without personal experience I can't talk to it.

Appreciate the insight though.
