Hello. I want to put a 2nd battery in my truck where the rear HVAC unit is at. can i do that or will that be a good idea. I want to run 0 gauge wire. Thank you

what gauge is your wires? how long are they?

so your going to remove your rear HAVAC unit to put the battery there? or does it not have the rear air unit?
IMO if your going to pull the unit out then i wouldnt, i would stick the battery up under the truck or another spot inside the truck.
removing the air system has coolant lines and regrigerant lines as well, as well as hurting the valve of the truck when you do sell it without any rear air system.

Well it has the HVAC lines but all it does is blows cold air instead of hot air. The Ac doesn't work since there aint no compressor for the AC.
well i still wouldnt remove it IMO. a blower running is cooler than nothing in the summer!!!
i would find a different spot for the battery!
what year truck you have? if its a OBS truck why not just get a second battery box and stick it under the hood? thats where i got my second yellow top at.

well my burban was made in 1992
ok so just stick it under the hood ;) very easy and out of the way.

yep. too bad i dont have the dual battery tray for my burban
