    so i have 2 10s im about to put in my truck, and the guy who was going to wire said he was going to charge 120 because i need a special box thingy ma-bobber in order to make it all work? is this tru or am is the guy just trying to rip me off

    box for what? the subs? Yes, you def need a box for the subs, other wise they'll just roll around and be playing free air, thus giving you no bass and 2 busted 10's.

    not a box for the subs lol..a box for the actually wiring. he said since my truck is so new or in order for everything to function as it would stock..i need a special wiring kit/box thing..

    Stock HU? What year truck? Need more info before anyone can tell you yes or no.

    It's probably an amp.. You should pay more attention to what the guy is saying, before trying to ask questions. If you don't know what he's talking about, how are we supposed to?

    He means the harness that allows you to keep your stock chime. Not needed. You can find a harness without the box chime for pretty cheap.

    the truck is a 2005..and he said the box will allow the music to still play when the key is out the ignition, have all the chimes etc

    what exactly are you trying to put in? just the 2 10's? or a new radio also?

    if just the 2 10's...then you need an amp, an amp wiring kit, and possibly a LOC converter.

    all im tring to do is wire up system..i got 2 kicker 10s, an amp and wiring.but he said he i need the harness/bbox thing to make everything work.
