I have a 2004 Crew Cab Silvy with the bose system and on star. I love the bose and I think that it is very impressive for a stock system but I want to put in a double din, sub woofers and new door speakers. I would also like to amp all my door speakers. I have a few concerns.

My first is when I put my double din in, how should I wire my new door speakers to my new amp for them? Normally I would just use the existing wires but dont they go through a stock amp? Do I need to run new wires from amp to door speakers?

Second, I want to put in new subs but I also want to keep my stock one hooked up, is there anything special I need to do in order to keep the stock sub working?

    Thanks
    Sonny

You are going to need to bypass the factory amplifier if you plan on installing a new head unit and speakers. If you have the center console, the amp should be at the bottom of the console under the storage bin. When you do this, you will be losing the OEM sub as well. But the bypass is fairly simple. You can run 4 pieces of speaker wire from the new head unit down to the amp and tap into the output wires from the Bose amp. This eliminates having to run wires all through the truck.
