2004 silverado non bose non onstar cd player
ok guys i have an aftermarket cd player and one of the scoseche gm2000 harnesses from walmart with the chime. i hooked up the the colors from the radio harness to the scoseche gm2000 accordingly. red to red (12v switch) yellow to yellow (constant) and black to black (ground). after installation the radio does not come on everytime i turn the truck on
are my connections correct using this module?

If you followed the directions, its the module itself. They are heavily prone to going bad, especially the walmart brand ones.

I can second that. Honestly I would return it and get the Metra one, I got mine from buy.com and it was pretty close to the same price as the cheap Schosche one from Wal-Mart. I had one of the Schosche ones in my Cavalier and that thing never worked right, when I got my new Pioneer I swapped it out for the Metra one and it's much better.

The whole point of that harness is so you DONT have to splice into the ignition wire.
This is why at our shop, we always offer to use the regular harness. You lose your door chimes (plus IMO), you lose RAP (radio on until you open your door). Losing RAP kind of sucks, but I can live without it. But you never have any problems, and it saves you money.
Win win IMO.
