its open to anybody that purchased a prerecorded cd, tape or vinyl disc between 1995 and now. everyone should register. hopefully, one day, businesses in the entertainment industry will realize that they have long since lost sight of the big picture, those greedy bastads.

seriously though, this is a great way to start the downfall of the greed and excess of the entertainment industry. think of where we can go from here, imagine free music and movies all the time. my pov is that if i am going to pay for a movie, it's not necessarily for the movie itself, but seeing it in a theater. same goes for music. i am more than willing to throw greenbacks down to see a concert, but i am not going to spend 15 dollars on a cd when it will sound no different than the cd the guy in line behind me is buying. i don't know if that makes sense now that i have typed it out. i guess its about the experience, not the product. it costs less than $3 to produce, package and ship a cd to retail. why should the average consumer pay $15 for it?
