I have a pretty much bone stock 98 Silverado in terms of audio terms.. Just an alpine head unit installed last summer. I want to replace all of the speakers in the truck(back right has blown). Im wondering which ones sound the best and won't wreak havoc with my wiring. Also, I need to know if I can find the little speakers in the doors(by the window switches). I mostly listen to country and rock.

    Thanks,
    Ray

well here it is, those "little speakers" are most likely tweeters. what your going to have to do is find a nice set of components and put the tweeter there and woofer in the door. the problem is most components would highly benefit from a small amp. another option would to be is to just get coaxial speakers and disconnect the tweeter by the window switch. obviously the components would sound better but cost more. with that said if you can get the components i'd just skip the back as you don't need them and put all the money in the fronts. now if you had passengers that ride back there a lot then a cheep set of coaxial would be fine.
