Upgrading OBS Front Door Speakers

Hi guys, been researching but running into dead ends. I have and would like to keep my stock theftlock cd radio. I replaced the front door speakers with 2-way blaupunkt 50 watt rms speakers. The bass has gone way down but they sound clearer. From what I read I need to amp em up to get the full potential out of them. So from here, all I need is a 2 channel 50ish rms amp, and to hook it up to power, and each speaker? Do I need filters to bypass the head unit? Please advise!

umm if your keeping the stock head unit then i would look into a sound processor to clean up what it puts out then have it go into a small amp. this would be the ideal route to go.

or what would happen is amps have a high level input where you would connect the speaker wires right into and that's how it gets the signal.
