I'm putting together an old 70custom10. Its got a 400eng and 400turbo tranny with 4.11 rear end. I have encountered a problem. The truck doesn't stall. It tries to pull through the brake at a stop. It idles fine but when I put it into gear it and hold my foot on the brake or stop at a stop sign the truck will die after10-15 sec. I changed many parts but still no luck. I changed the intake manifold gasket, valve cover gaskets, converter to a 2000 stall, vacuum lines, carb to a 600 edlebrock perf, power steering pump and lines, master cylinder. Before I got the truck it had a larger cam put in it, a shift kit, a new fuel pump. Anything that could slightly be related to the problem I changed. The only thing I can think to do is rebuild the tranny but I've been told that's already been done. Seems like to converter is locked or something. Need some serious help here.
