What are some nice drop in mods that will up my speed on my '83 c-10?

I've got a 350 in there, dual exhaust, K&N air filter, and plenty of other things.

But what are some things I can do to make my truck totally in the speed department?

all of which have been removed from my 305, also i took out the charcol canister.
removing all of that will add power(expecially the cats) but it all hurts gas milege, or atleast it did for me.

Is the charcoal canister actually nesscesary? I mean obviously it is not if you took it out, but would it actually help on my TBI motor if I removed it? I have thought about it before, but never got very far on it. What would you do with the extra lines, isn't one of them a vent line from the fuel tank?

Just wondering if I should do this or not, I have already removed some of my smog equipment (cats, heat riser tube, etc.)

I wonder if it would mess up the computer any if I took off the EGR valve. All it seems to do is gunk up everything.

    Whats done to mine

Here's a list of the things that were done to my truck before I got it from my uncle:
    1. Put a 350 cid 4 bolt main engine in it.

    2. Bored it out .030 with flat top pistons and chrome rings.

    3. Put a 260/260 "Competition Cam" in it for low range torque.

    4. Put a tunnel ram aluminum intake manifold with a carter 4 barrel carb.

    5. Put a set of exhaust headers with turbo mufflers on it.

    6. Replaced the stock springs in the front end with Heavy duty ones.

    7. Put heavy duty anti-sway bars front and rear with heavy duty shocks for better handling.

    8. Put a small diameter steering wheel for better steering
    response.

    9. Had the 350 turbo transmission rebuilt

    10. Put extra fuel tank with switching valve in the truck to increase fuelcapacity to 32 gal.

Is there anythin that can be done to speed me up?

You should consider upgrading your ignition system.

I have basicly all the same stuff done to mine as you hve done to yours, and I put a new HEI Distributor cap w/ a new High output coil, a new rotor and some new plug wires just yesterday and it really woke that truck up. It had a decent amount of acceleration and was able to pull a 5000lb uhaul trailer at 65 mph without really breaking a sweat before the upgrade, but I tell you what, the ignition upgrade made all the difference in the world. I got all the parts from summit for around $85

    Good luck!

i dont know if thats all that is off on mine, cause i didnt check when i was editing the picture, i was doing it by memory.

the line to the fuel tank i just left alone and uncapped, i've had no problem with it since i did it a couple months ago. but since i've taken all that stuff off, my gas milege has gone down quite a bit

If they haven't been changed by anybody, then you should be able to look in the Glovebox and look at the sticker that has all the option codes on it. Just look for the codes that start with a G and post them up on here.

Some head work could really help, depending on the heads.

Either just a valve job, or some minor milling.

You could go further with better valves, springs, rocker arms, etc.

If you have the money, go with some aftermarket aluminum heads.

    Gears

Well I had looked in the glove compartment but nothing was there, so I talked with my uncle (who owned this truck and did all of the work on it).

He said that he thought it was a 3.07

    Check www.summitracing.com or www.jegs.com

The gear sets should run you around $120-$160
Install kit with new bearings should be around $100
and you may want to look into a positive traction unit.
