i just got a 62 and im getting a 5 lug rearend so for the front can i use 2 1/2 drop spindles from 73-87 truck and use them. Most ive seen so far is people swapping a arms and everything, but i want to know if I just order drop spindles if they will bolt up to my stock arms

If its a 62 it should have torsion bars in the front just re-index them where you want to lower the front.

as for the back lowering springs air bags or go ghetto and just heat them til it sits how you want it.

I would go with the first two choices for the rear if it were mine.

since youre going 5 lug out back, why not just take the entire suspension clip out of a 73+ truck? it all unbots from the frame. disc brakes, better suspension geometry, and better parts availability would be some major plusses.

no its not, it doesnt run right now i just popped them out to see what it would look like. Im taking the bed off and doing box tubing from the cab back. Theres a spot in the frame by the shock mount that is completely rotted through and i have to notch it to lay out so im just going to build a frame for it. You dont have to worry about me driving around without coils in it, I took out the gas tank the first day i bought it since it was full of gas and had holes it was leaking into the cab. So ill be getting a fuel cell soon to go between the frame rails

Ummm dont mean to start something but the 60-67 rear suspension is far better that the 73+ just look at NASCAR every car is till using this exact same design, sometimes called a "truck arms"

and he's already addressed the 5 lug issue in the back, we're talking about the front suspension now.
