what is the rpm range of the 70's era 350's. I've been wondering what i'm turning at highway speeds. My truck is loud but at 55 and up wind and tire noise take over. hooked up a tach today and get 70mph @ 3000rpm's. at full throttle take off my tranny shifts at about 4000 rpm's. just wondering if that sounds right, don't know how accurate my cheap tach is.

most 350s rev to 5,500 or so
your RPMs are in direct effect of the rear end gears, tire radius, and Transmission Gear
