I have a '79 GMC & want to replace the dash pad with the later '81-'87 dash pad that is straight across the top of the instrument cluster rather than the contoured original one I have now. Is that just a straight swap or are there differences in the dash frame between those years?

    Thanks for any info!

Can you swap the inner door panels aswell? I think it would look better, everything would match up nice. :)
