in general how much will it lower the rear if the smaller leaves are removed from the spring pack and only the main leaf is kept?

how many leafs are in your pack? i would keep at least 4 in there, but if you want you can remove the overload spring(very bottom spring, really think) but if you have 3 or less springs, it gets really soft back there.

I was told to NOT remove the overload spring or main leaf. My truck came with 4-leafs from the factory, plus the overload.

i know it will get really soft, i have a pair of firestone airbags to put in there to restore a little firmness. so other than any load concerns how much lower would it be? basically it would be a mono leaf type of setup.

As in 1 less that in this pic? This is the top 2 leafs

A buddy did this ( only main leaf) with overleaf bag kit and he said the tracking was horrible (with only one leaf there isn't anything to locate the axle side to side without too much flex)

I never had problems removing the overload spring, but I use a flip kit on everything I have dropped and I always ditch it.
