I want to put the 80-87 style fenders on my truck(78). I know there will need to be some work done in the grille area to make everything work, but will the fender match up with the hood ok? (I would keep the 78 hood)
I think it would be a suttle trick that will look better, and I still get to keeb the bull nose grille and hood.

the only way to install 81-91 fenders on your '78 is to convert to a whole 81-91 front end. in doing this you will need to cut a slit in the cowl for the hood hinges to go into, install newer style wiper linkage, and a cowl panel behind the hood.
