I wouldn't put rain x on your wheels. Go to Wal Mart or your friends truck to test it out first .

Seriously I wouldn't do it. It may take the clear coat off if your wheels have it.

    Rain-X is for glass

Use a chrome polish or the same wax/polish you use for your paint on your chrome wheels

i've used the mothers chrome polish, and i still get water spots all over my wheels..i just figured that the rain x would make the water sheet off my wheels..but i guess that idea is a no go..is there any way to keep waterspots off of chrome?"

Edit: I really don't think rain-x is strong enough to mess up chrome. I may try this and let you all know.

You're better off cleaning them really well, using a paint cleaner if they are oxidized or water spotted, and if they are clear-coated wheels. Then use something like Klasse Sealant Glaze or whatever wax you use on your paint. The clear coat on most wheels is just like the clear on your paint, so treat it the same way. Would you Rain-X your hood?
