I picked up a used 90 short bed pick up for sale cheap, a guy in his early 20s had it. I went to get in the truck the other day and it was hot out and all I could smell was ass. I dunno what he was doing in it, but I figured it must be something under the seat or in the carpet, well it wasn't. After some checking, LOL, it is the drivers seat. It smells like total ass, I dunno if he was driving around naked or what. Anyway, the seat itself looks clean, just stinks. Anyone have any ideas to clean it and get rid of the smell?
use a shampoo machine or something

So there is a lesson to be learned here boys, when buying a used truck, check EVERYTHING out
Check with a local environmental clean up company or crime scene clean up crew and find what they use, it will break the funk down on a molecular level and rid the smell for good.
FWIW..........The Seinfeld B.O. episode is now in my head and I am laughing hysterically with you and not at you.
I would take the seat out and vacuum it off real well then shampoo it. I imagine it's the base bench seat so I would let it dry in the sun, probably old and torn on the sides and faded anyways so the sun can't do much more damage, just leave it out long enough to dry. Then if you really want to make sure it's clean, rent a steam cleaner and go to town on it, that'll really get the junk out of it.
My Suburban has the leather interior and it smells like brand new so I got lucky on that, and my Sierra's interior was cleaned at the dealer I bought it from and they do a good job but I might take it out to shampoo it soon before winter, that way I can really clean under the seat too.

It sounds like the OP has a similar case to Jerry's B.B.O (beyond B.O). I love that show and I've watched it every chance I could since I could see.
I'd sprinkle some of that powder sh!t you can put on pet odor, If it's the smell I'm thinking of it's like a spicy sweaty butt hole stink, similar to the morning after taco bell.

In the winter my truck smells like what your gloves and hat smell like when you come in from snow-blowing or snow snowmobiling.
