need help!! how to removed oxidation and swirl marks

what are some steps and products to remove oxidation and swirl marks? i am working on a budget and have no idea how to removed oxidation and swirl marks. any help is appericated!

Wash, dry, clay bar, Meguire's SwirlX, Polish, wax. In that order. Apply by hand if you don't know how to use a buffer or anything.

The clay bar will help with the oxidation. Depending on how bad the swirls are, you won't have much luck removing them by hand. The Porter Cable is a great tool. I know your on a budget, but the PC is a worth while purchase. For what you would pay me to remove the swirls you could have the PC and the items to do it yourself. It is very easy to use and won't harm the paint.

I use only meguiars products. They have one specifically for this. Theres a light rubbing compound which is safe for clear coats. I'd use it with a low speed buffer, then apply the polish, then protect it with some wax. I had an old, red vehicle from the mid 80's and this took it from a flat pink to a deep, even, red.

Need to wash it really well. Get a clay bar on it to remove everything that binds to the paint and won't come off in regular washing, then wax, polish, etc. to finish. Clay bar is by far the best thing you can do for your vehicle.

If you have oxidation like you say, then don't waste your time and money with store bought products from Autozone. Only thing those usually do is conceal your problem for a short period.

I just ordered my Poorboys Porter Cable kit from Autogeek. They are a little pricey at first, but after I have calculated all the money I've wasted over the years on subpar products from Autozone, I probably could have bought 2 PC kits.

Turtle wax ice liquid clay bar is an awsome product. Is easier than the original clay bar and to me I get better results with it. Finish up with meguiars NXT cleaner wax and you will be impressed with the results.

i have put 24 hours plus into my 2000 siverado it was only waxed once when my friend owned it .you need to start with a light compound then some super light compound like sctatch out then start the waxes kit /turtle then a polish . im now at the point where i use the wax as you dry spray on wax. like i said its taken over 24 plus hours of work to get to this point. im no kid im 54.let me tell you this was much easier when i was 14 .

Best thing is to take it thru a touchless car wash to get a good blasting off crap off. Then take it home and wash with dish soap to remove any previous wax, grease that might be on the paint. After this you want to clay bar. The turtle wax ice liquid clay bar does work very well. Do not apply a lot of pressure with your fingers as you will leave ridges in the clear. Its best to apply pressure with your palm. Everyone has their favorite wax to use. I prefer Mothers 3 stage wax system. Get at least two wax applicator pads for each wax you apply and a good set of microfiber towels for clean up. Apply the first step of wax. Only work one panel at a time to ensure consistancy and this way you can pay attention to when the wax sets up. Repeat this for the second and third stage of wax. Finish up with wiping everything down with a quick detailer to remove any residual wax buildup and wax dust. If you have black plastics be sure to tape these off before waxing. If you are doing this by hand be prepared to spend about 7 hours from start to finsih. Pick an overcast day where the humidity is low with temps that are comfortable to work in and you should be good to go.

Yes what the others have said and I would stress a cool to the touch body and preferably in the shade or an overcast day like the above poster said.
