i have a small chip at the front of my hood, where it meets the grille....think i got it from driving behind a rock truck or dump truck. its small right now, but i'm concerned on the paint chipping and flaking all the way up the hood...any ideas on how to prevent this from happening??
thanks guys!

Yep, simply get some touch up paint on there to help hide the blemish and seal up the area so rust doesn't take hold if the chip went to bare metal. If you want to prevent future chips, I recommend investing in some clear 3M vinyl film to protect that vulnerable front hood area. I should have done the same thing to mine years ago.

Touch up paint and bug deflector imo. They don't look that great but there are barely any chips on my 13 year old truck because of one
