does it help get rid of the oxidation on them?
Thanks for the tip! I've always just used toothpaste to clean mine, but it doesn't always get the job done. I have to do it about once a week to keep them looking good. :-)
x2 on toothpaste! ^^ works great!
im sure that works for the short term but what happens after a couple washes? back to normal? i would just invest the time and sand, rub, polish and clear. I would also lightly sand, rub, polish and use plast x at the end. I did mine on three diff cars now and it has never hazed over again. well worth the time and effort.
Best thing is to just take it to a detail shop IMO. Comes out the best it can and will last. Its like $50-150. We usually charge $35 per side.
I did mine at work last week. Before and After

my marker lights were fogged and nasty yellow. I picked up a pair of new ones on Amazon for $8.
little bit cheaper and less work than cleaning them.

Thanks for the tip!
Chrome polish also works quite well, especially if you have a proper polisher with pad.
I used Meguiar's Heavy Duty Headlight Restoration Kit. Comes with everything and very quick and easy to do. Took less than 30 minutes to do 2 headlights and 2 fogs. Cost, under $25 and have enough to do this many many times.
Headlight before
Headlight after
Fog before
Fog after
Fogs looked better in person. All the roughness was completely gone.
