Don't know if you guys have seen the commercials for that new hose attachment that Mr Clean has come out with. It is basically a gun looking unit with a Pur Water Filter built in and a soap reservoir. It has three modes; regular water, purified water, and water soap mix. I got one free through some guy on Autopia.org (Detailing Forum of the Gods) who was testing units before they hit stores. The big claim is that after washing with their soap and rinsing with purified water the truck should dry spot free without toweling/chamoising it off.

Lucky for me, and for anyone readin this thread, I got one free. The regular rinse mode is kinda weak even with the hose blasting, and the purified water spray is the equivalent of a Misty-Mate. It took me about 10 times longer to rinse my truck with the thing. The water seemed about the same as washing with normal straight-from-the-hose water. It wasn't a "terrible" product, but I would recommend against dropping something like 30 bucks on one. Oh yeah, the filters are supposed to last like about 3 washes and then you gotta replace them. That= more money! Seems like a decent idea but IMHO thumbs-down.

Thanks for the heads up!! I was looking at these this weekend, in fact. I could just imagine how long it would take me to wash that Suburban!

OMG!!!! I washed my Mom's Envoy with it a few months ago and felt as if I had wasted a month! The purified water spray is kinda like those little misters that they have at Mexican Restaraunts on the Patios.....I imagine you would be an old man by the time you finished the Burb. Glad I could help!

i got mine for free too, but i really dont care about the time it takes to wash my truck bec i love to do it. i would rather wash truck for 2 to 3 hours then do the laundry, dishes and clean my apt. Even though it is a biotch , it getts the job done and it does not leave any streaks.

I paid $17.95 from Advance Auto. I used the whole bottle of soap it came with on my truck in just one wash. However, even my big black truck dried spot free with the stuff. Even though I did miss a whole bunch.

Works as advertised. But I am not gonna buy again.
