    Tire size on 1996 silverado stock 15" rims 2wd

    Whats the biggest I can go with stock height, no lifts. Tire rack recommends 235/75-15. Can I go bigger? if so how big without rubbing. Also, will a bigger tire give me noticable worse mpg.

    I believe a 31 x 10.50 x 15 is about the biggest your gonna be able to go. Might also be called a 265 / 75R / 15. My tires measure a hair over 31 but are wide and I clear fine but I do have a body lift too. And welcome to the site. And how are the steel plates to cover the bottomless pits in the roads treating you these days
