Hey all
I am going to be putting some amber and red LED clearance lights on my 98 k1500 truck....
Here is a pic.
They are 2.5 in long and about 1 in. wide and 3/4" thick..
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how to wire it. and what type of wire and connectors.
Here is where there going:
-14 amber across the front under the bumper
-7 amber along each side of truck (qty: 14)
-1 Red along the end of each side of truck (qty:2)
-6 red across the bottom of tailgate
for a total of 36 lights
My plan was to run main wires alongs each side and then splice each light into the main wire. (is this a good idea)
I am putting all these light on a separate switch so i have control when i want them on and off. I alread have Dual Insterstate Heavy Duty Batteries and will probably be buying a bigger alternator to handle the juice.
Thanks for any help given
I will be posting pictures when i am done with the project.
~Matt~
PS : i am a semi-truck driver and i love seeing rigs with tons of LED lights on them so i decided to make my pickup truck look the same...
