    im painting my tailgate relocator bracket and i need to know how long i should wait between coats and how long i should wait before switchig from primer to paint and paint to clear.

    Normally you prime and wait to dry, normally 24 hrs to be safe if just air drting, then sand that down, then put on sealer, 1 med. wet coat and aloow to dry to tack off, normally 15-20 min depending on temp+humidity. Then put on base while waiting 5-10 minutes between coats and allowing all "fumes" to escape to prevent solvent pop. After last coat of base allow a good 20min or until a dry appearance, then tack off for last time. Apply clear allowin the clear to be tacky between 1st and 2nd coat(put your finger in clear on paper surrounding object and look too see if it strings if you pull up. two coats of clear aught to be enough for uv protection and sanding if needed.

    By the time that you clean the gun and mix the next paint you should be fine to spray. Then wait 15 minutes between coats.
