    Smaller Front Valence for NBS?

Does anyone make a smaller front valence for the NBS (specifically an 04) trucks? I'd like something that's only about 2-3 inches tall.

What I'd like to do is relocate the fogs behind the grill or on a bull bar (probably get some new/smaller fogs). I'd like the valence to end just above the tow hooks, and I'll either remove them or mount my bull bar there.

I realize that I can just remove the lower valence, but I don't really like the lines of the bumper that way, and I'd like to cover up another 2-3 inches of frame than running without one.

Does anyone make a smaller valence or am I going to have to buy a whole new bumper? I'd appreciate any help.

Well I found a pic of someone who cut their lower valence down. I didn't think it would work because of the holes for tow hooks and fog lights. Does anyone make something like this for fairly cheap, or am I better off to get a junkyard valence and start cutting? I really don't know if I could pull it off and make it look as clean as this one.

This is exactly the look I want on the front bumper.

I know. I think I'm going to give up on buying a valence and just start cutting. Even if it doesn't turn out clean, I can pick up another one at a junkyard and try again...

I say cut it, it looks pretty good. Just score it a few times with a utility knife, make relief cuts with some tin snips and then break it off along your score line. Sand the edge down with some low grit so its not rough or haggard looking. That's how I'd go about it.

Hmm... I was going to use a jigsaw or a dremel with a cutting wheel. Would it be better to score it and break it?

It's all what you're more comfortable doing... I tend to go a little (well a lot) crooked with a sawzaw but I can cut a straight line with a knife. Makes no sense but its the truth. If you're better with a sawzaw then me go for it, it would be faster.

After I get mine trimmed down, I'm going to get a light bar just like that one.

What brand is it? I don't want one that blocks the grill like a lot of them out there.

thanks. its the N-Fab light bar. its only $100 and there's 2 more tabs on the ends so i could add 2 lights on the bottom if i wanted to

im still debating doing this.... i could go outside now and cut it..... but i do have a 2" body lift and may go up to 3" someday (depending on how inspection goes) so i think there'll be too much other stuff showing.

I say go do it and post up some pictures. I really want to cut mine too but I'm curious to see how it would look with a body and bumper relocation brackets....

I trimmed mine down with a sawzall, fairly easy but in my little garage with no vise it took a while as I had to keep moving the two clamps I had holding it down.

not anything worth while, I took it offroading the weekend after I did it and ended up ripping it off when I hooked it on a rock

grayson, I really want to see those pictures when your done man. I keep looking at the truck in your second post thinking about how good I think it would look on my truck so some more pictures would be killer.
