    Im curious as to what the ride height is on a OBS silverado 1500 4x4 vs a Z71? If it matters the year is 1990

    There the same....only thing different about the Z71 is shocks, some skid plates and a fancy sticker.

    thats what i though. i was arguing with a buddy because he was saying 4x4's were 1-2" lower and i said nah they're the same. But then again he hs been driving a ford for the last year, and now just bought a z71 so his loss of brain cells are just starting to come back to him.

    im not sure for a 1990.
    but, my 2002 is around 2 inch higher than a regular 4x4.

    Didn't they come with much smaller tires in 90? I'm sure they have been changed by now, but...

    the nbs(99+) had a 2 inch block in the rear and were cranked a bit more than the regular 4x4 but obs they were the same.

    99+ 4x4s had the 2 inch block too. You're thinking about 2wd that came without the block. There is absolutely no difference in ride height between a 4x4 and Z71
