Well, I finally got around to installing my herculiner, I bought the stuff like 8 months ago when it was on sale for 60 bucks and then the company had a 20 dollar mail in rebate so the liner only cost me 40 bucks :) It came out wayyyyyyyy better than I ever thought it was going too. I rarely use the bed of my truck so this stuff is perfect for my needs.I do have some advice to give people who are interested in doing this and Im more than willing to answer any questions some may have.
First off the liner is needs to be stirred good. A wooden stirrer is just not gonna cut it. I don't care how long you stir, the particles are not going to break up in the liner without a drill attachment. So I hit the store for an attachment and came across this one for 3 dollars! http://www.walmart.com/ip/1gal-Paint-Mixer/17165772 I stirred the liner for atleast 1 minute every time before I poured the liner in a paint tray.
You will need two small paint trays to pour the liner in so you can apply it to the roller.http://www.walmart.com/ip/Biodegrada...-Tray/17165826 I found that the trays with the bumps on them help spread the liner on the roller a lot better.
You will also need one more brush so you can paint all the tight spots on the second coat a 99 cent brush will do as long as it isn't one of those foam brushes.
Masking tape is needed if you are wanting the have clean lines, the blue painters tape works perfect and doesn't allow any leaks. Just make sure you buy 2 inch tape because mistakes do happen and I felt it created a sharper line if I rolled about halfway onto the tape with the liner.
Gloves are an absolute must!!!! If this liner gets on your skin it is not coming off, it is some pretty serious stuff, old cloths would be a smart move as well.
Now here comes the two hands down most important supplies you need. The green scotchbrite pad that comes with the kit is just not agressive enough to give you a great bond. https://encrypted-tbn1.google.com/im...DYwn-takbtsVyq I purchased them from walmart for a couple of bucks I just can't seem to find them online. They are super heavy duty scouring pads.
Then you are going to need a some (Xylene) http://www.chaneyenterprises.com/ima...S/F-Xylene.jpg Walmart also carries this its like 10 dollars, you will need this to clean the bed after you have scoured the entire bed and also to clean up and liner that may have found its way to places you didn't want.
The overall process of applying the liner is easy, it mentions thinning it down to 10 percent on the can. I am not sure why you would want to, the liner is already gonna be thin enough. 1 Gallon is supposed to be just enough to cover a 6ft bed with 2 coats, I put mine on really heavy and used right at half of the can for 2 coats, I have more than enough for a 3rd coat left over! The first thing you want to do is take you brush and dab all your tight places all around the bed, make sure you have plenty of liner on the brush so it is leaving nice chunks of liner behind. Once you have touched all the tight place start rolling, you have to roll slow so the liner doesn't spray all over you.Make sure you roll over the same place a couple of times to get a nice even lay of liner. My first coat was very aggressive looking and it just got even better the second coat. If your first isn't quite the roughness you was looking for don't be scared to go thicker on your second coat! If you used tape to create nice lines apply the second coat to those areas first and then finish rolling the rest of the bed. Once you finish rolling the rest of the bed the liner will have dried enough not to run on the areas where tape is. Start pulling the tape slowly, I had no problems with mine pulling a nice straight line but if the tape isn't releasing from the liner good keep a razor blade handy.
Overall I am super happy with the quality and for the price It just can't be beat. I hope you guys enjoy the advice and It helped someone answer some questions.

Nice post! I love my herculiner. put it on last summer, and haven't had many complaints. It has faded from constantly sitting in the sun and im starting to see the paint through the bottom.. But I plan on just putting more on. I wasnt professional at applying it but I know I didn't do anything wrong either, took my time and did it right. I still like just throwing stuff in the bed knowing my bedliner is tough as nails!

Does it chip or peel like some brands do?
