I think I'm finally gonna change out my front lights for LEDs. I have some lights already but had issues with them not lighting correctly and hyperflash and whatnot. So I thought I'd go ahead and get the resistors and do it that way since the LED flasher didn't fix my issues.

So can someone tell me the specifics, like how many they used, what size, how and where they wired them up? I'd really appreciate it. I'm planning on LED side markers with switchbacks for the turns/parking lights. Thanks!

Try these and they should also keep from getting feedback back to you cluster and making the turn signal indicaters light up

Both links just take me to radioshack.com.

I think with the LED flasher if I use the switchbacks, I might be okay, but I know most people who use LEDs in the corner lights usually have to use resistors on them. Any more info would be appreciated.

Diode?? Thought this needed a resistor..Diode is a one way electrical valve if you will..is the diode your refiring to have resistance built in??? why would a diode be needed when polarity is Direct (one way) already..just trying to understand, as Im new to the world of LED lights..

it elim, inates the feedback. was your signal indicaters also lighting up? I understand the diode is a one way but for some reason they have been fixing hyperflash to. Some things are weird I know but if your wanting to do just resisters i can pull the number up on it too.

When you say feed back, what kind of feed back are you referring too, is this something that occurs on newer models, mines an 96 silverado..My signal indicators on the cluster? yes they light up, and flash fast with the outside lamps..I'll try the resistors first and see what happens..thanks for the info

Nah, some people have issues when using LED flashers and stuff with the turn signal indicators in your cluster staying lit up all the time. I think that's what Dev was meaning the diodes were mainly for.
