I have a white 2000 extended cab Z71 shortbed with 305/60/18's on 18" black rockstars under it and i need some fender flares. Is there any brands that i should stay away from due to being crappy or whatever? does anyone have some recommendations? if you want you can post pics of yours ;)

thank ya, i am starting to really get to like this truck. its a long story... i want my F250 with the 7.3 powerstroke back still though. yeah bushwacker is waaaaay too pricey. i didnt want to spend that much on a set of fender flares. hell i would even do used ones.
you could check ebay out or warn has flares for like $150ish for a pair of fronts and $150ish for a pair of rears.

i like paint matched oem fender flares myself. IIRC there is a member that got some oem looking off brand fender flares on here that fit pretty dang good and price wasn't to bad either, id give them a try myself if i could find the name of the ebay seller.

2006 Silverado 5.3 Z71
I was thinking of coating them in bed liner along with the rocker panels
Is jsp a decent brand?
Factory flares would look good IMO
If I could find a set of factories for a decent price I would buy them right now.
I just finished (today) installing some flares on my 94 Suburban that I got from Amazon, P.U Tech. Sprayed with flares with Duplicolor Bed Armor, rockers rolled on with Rustoleum bed cover. They fit well, obviously too early to tell about durability. They sell for all kinds of models, $160 for all four flares.
I'm not sure of the price but I would go with factory. Or if you didnt want painted you could do some factory black ones. I have the painted and love them. Here's a few pics just to show the truck off haha

I have stampede brand flares on my obs. Very happy with flares themselves and the stainless bolts on perimeter but mounting hardware was a joke so i made my own out of stainless washers and self tapping screws.

I used the two different types of bedliner for three reasons.
1. Color difference. I wanted the flares to stand out from the rockers a bit.
2. Texture difference.
3. Cost difference. Rustoleum is a less expensive.
I have an album of the entire project at photobucket.com/KC8WML
