I presently have 245/75/16's on my stock rims and found some 265/70/17's. Will these fit without requiring a lift? Good idea? Any suggestions or comments?

Thanks for the info. I got them. They seem to be as large as the truck could handle - if you turn the wheel all the way and hold it they actually do are about 1/1000 (just kidding) from touching but only if you hold it not on normal rotation. The tires and wheels look great and I think was a simple upgrade to improve my truck.
